Description

The tray included in your kit replaces the normal Canon "J" tray which is used for CD/DVD disc printing. The tray measures 130mm x 220mm and should work with any Canon printer that uses the same size tray. Must be used with Inkjet PVC Cards (included, and available separately). Normal PVC cards can not be printed on with an Inkjet printer as they are unable to absorb ink. Compatible with Canon J Tray Printers: MG5400, MG5420, MG5422, MG5430, MG5450, MG5460, MG5470, MG5480, MG6310, MG6320, MG6330, MG6340, MG6350, MG6360, MG6370, MG7110, MG7120, MG7130, MG7140, MG7150, MG7160, MG7170, iP7200, iP7210, iP7220, iP7230, iP7240, iP7250, iP7260, iP7270, MG7510, MG7520, MG7540, MG7550, MG7570, MG7710, MG7720, MG7730, MG7740, MG7750, MG7760, MG7770, MG7780, MG7790, MX922, MX923, MX924, MX925, MX926. Let me start this review by saying that the J tray works perfect with my Canon Pixma MX922 without any issues, and that the cards appear to be very high quality. My only complaint with this product is the lack of instructions and directions, the only thing they do is direct you to there website to find the templates and instructions on how to print your ID cards correctly. So when you visit the website is it fairly easy to understand? No, there is a lot of information that in my opinion is very poorly organized and not specific to your product. After some careful reading and looking I was able to find the templates specific to the J Tray, and then was able to print my cards without any issue. The PDF generator they have that supposedly works, only works with horizontal ID card designs and doesn't support vertical ID card designs and therefore you are forced to use the templates. So if you do not know how to edit templates, and your a novice attempting to use this product for a vertical ID card you will have a very difficult time with this product in my opinion.Based on the fact the J tray does work and the cards are of high quality I'm still willing to give this product 4 stars, but would increase my rating if the company made this product more user friendly in terms of instructions or at least update their website to make it easier for novice users to print their ID cards.Works well. Over all a good product. But it does have a few quirks. Sometimes the printer ejected the tray while the job was only halfway done. I went through 10 cards like this... Also, ink is left on the edges of the card holder spaces, so if you don't let the cards dry for a while or are careful when you remove them, the edges of the cards may end up with ink stains. Make sure you clean the extra ink off before flipping over the cards to print on the back side. All in all, it's a great product, specially given the price point and quality of the finished cards. I would not hesitate to buy it again. These printed well. Has a sticky feeling after it's done. They say rinse in warm water to get rid of that...I didn't try that. It fades after some days. They are strong and sturdy and feel like a real card. I printed on both sides with my Cannon Printer and attachment for the cards. I would order these again .Having to make my own metal piece to go into the tray to make it work was not something that was expected. Crazy part is that they know the missing piece is the issue ...why not put it in there. The included cards don't seem to fit very well compared to the NFC tags purchased directly from Brainstorm ID but the quality of the product is really good. Just remember to wipe off the tray if you print to bleed, otherwise the ink will get on your cards and not look as nice.Great Product- Great Company - Great Service -Product delivered was the same as shown in the product description - The PVC Cards worked perfectly for making ID badges for the employees of my new company. The Inkjet PVC cards hold up well to being worn on a lanyard all day. They printed well from my MG5420 Canon printer using the 2 Slot J Tray from Brainstorm using the template downloaded for Adobe Photoshop. Great Customer service when I had any questions relating to the product. The kit works well, just wish it came with some direxrions/instructions. Limited online tutorials, if none. The sellers website assistance is no help either. Took an hour or so but I finally figured it out myself, and I know how to use computers pretty well.I was using a print service for badges that ran $2.99 a piece and took over a week for delivery. This has saved me a ton of time and money. The IDs look just as good and are very high quality. I'm already on my second pack and will continue to use these PVC ID Cards.Tray is a little tricky to load lined up. Cards are what you expect but not as waterproof as advertised.Great product! Fast deliveryThe Essentials right here..
