3 stars:The last time I ordered these I was very happy- they were a nice thick quality label and they said "label" in light blue on the back so it was easy to see which was the printable side. In my most recent order, I ordered 2 packages and they're totally different from the last sets of labels. They don't come in a box, which I don't like because there's nothing to contain the labels and keep them clean and unwrinkled. They're also thinner, there's no marking/wording on the back side, and they aren't evenly cut so the distance from the left edge is a bit different from the right edge (potentially problematic if your bleed area isn't large).I don't like inconsistency, especially when I get used to a certain quality and the next order is totally different packaging and of a lower quality. I will probably order from them one more time and if it's the same low quality label, I may try a different company.2 stars:UPDATE 12/16 : NEVER AGAIN! The labels were mailed in a large envelope without any protection from bending! They are all curved over and bent. Unacceptable.4 stars:UPDATE 3/17 So.... I had a mess on my hands with the curved label sheets- they caused the ink cartridges to bleed and the labels were a smeared mess. So I contacted the company and I'm happy to report that they took responsibility and said the curved labels were an error during processing and should not have been shipped out. They sent me a new batch of labels and they're working perfectly- nice and sturdy and they don't get jammed in the printer. I will order again! Lesson: If you get a curved batch let them know!I have used Staples or Avery labels for more than a decade. These labels are a bit different, they have a yellow back. I like the idea of having a yellow back that shows clearly which side is going to be printed. In the past I have printed on the wrong side and gone "Oh Man, I blew it there goes a sheet." These labels are as thick as expected and apply easily. They are a bit bluish or purplish when under bright light. Would I buy these again? If price was the only reason, yes. If I did not mind paying more for the Staples brand or even more for the Avery brand I'd probably default to paying a higher price.NOTE: My pictures only show 1/2 of the page of labels, I like to tear the page in half, it makes for easier handling. They are prepared for tearing but I had a problem getting a clean tear.I read many reviews before purchasing these labels. Everyone is right, the adhesive isn't super hero sticky. That's exactly why I wanted these labels. The adhesive is perfect for me. I use these to label my self made frozen meals. I write the name of the meal. the date and slap it on the top of my plastic dish. Initially I was fine with the idea of layers of stickers on my plastic dishes but these labels stay on in the freezer, even after a month or two. Even better though, they peel off! Soon as I take it out of the freezer to cook a meal, I peel off the sticker and toss. The plastic dishes I got for this purpose look as nice as they did brand new. No layers of ripped up labels and no sticky paper bits in the drain. Our business goes through a ton of these labels, and the Avery ones, while nice, are a bit too pricey in my opinion. I started looking for cheaper alternatives, and decided to give these a shot. Their layout is formatted in exactly the same way as the Avery ones, so they'll be compatible with whatever template you currently use. The cartons that we stick these on get disposed of sooner or later, so it makes no sense to spend the extra money to get the nicer ones like Avery. These will do just fine. For the price, these labels are great. But, on several occasions my ink jet printer would not pick the sheet up off the paper tray unless it was the only sheet in the tray at the time. I'm unsure if it's the paper weight or what but I did not have this problem with the name brand. Since I generally do single labels at a time, the same sheet is reloaded several times. It's a little annoying but for the difference in price, and the overall quality of these labels which are super sticky, I am pleased with the purchase. These are not the quality of Avery but the price is a lot less and they do the job. The 1000 labels will last me a long time and for my home use they are perfect. I will often just print one or two labels on a sheet then can use that same sheet for future labels skipping the spots I used previously. They work nicely.Good for what I needed it for. The Avery 5163 is much better quality if you are using these labels for shipping and need to cover any prior stickers, etc. that may be on the box or just need sturdier labels in general since Avery's has the TruBlock technology. However, I am only using these for flashcards to study from so they fit my needs fine, as another poster posted. I did not need the fancier, sturdier Avery labels for this, so would order these again for purposes such as this. They are quite a bit flimsier, but much cheaper than even the generic Staples brand of Avery's 5163 labels. They are larger then I thought which was good. The labels are thin but, good for what I needed, which is labeling folders.
