Great tab & labeling system! I have used these in all of my offices since 2003. I was able to transform every filing system I inherited in my career. Everyone who saw it, adopted it. I paired w/colored Pendaflex file folders & hanging file holders for the perfect, color coded system. LOVE my files! Easy to find everything! If the plastic tabs are a bit too tall to shut your drawer, just trim the bottom of the plastic tab a tiny bit & reinsert into the file holder! Tape bottom of tab in place against hanging file holder w/ 3M clear packaging tape, if needed.I have been using this product for years. I have organized various office filing systems and have received rave reviews from supervisors and employees as well.be careful when installing them into Pendaflex folders, they are stiffer than the standard Pendaflex tabs. I ripped out one side of the Pendaflex folder installing one. But I would buy these again. The only thing I don't like is I have to prepare my printed tabs online only. I wish there was a downloadable program to use on my PC.I bought these for my office probably fifteen years ago and loved them. Just recently I was helping my elderly mother set up her files and bought another set. Because they are 3D and have a top surface label, it is very easy for her to see and use. I printed different color labels for different categories to help her put the files back in the correct place. I then did my own home office as well. You won't regret investing in these. Also, I have reused old tabs by printing a new label and installing right over the old one and cover with the clear label to seal.I like it's clarity, the ease with which it uploads and the ease that it makes your file cabinet so effective and organized. I am so happy that they are still on the market. They are affordable, easy to print and apply. You really get a rush of pleasure when you see them all in place. They are moveable in the slots on hanging files which makes them easy to reorganize. The best office or home filing system available.The software makes this very easy to set up and print. Handy feature that allows you to re-insert a partially used tab sheets. Very tedious to place color coded tabs on the inserts, but once in place, this is the most visually pleasing filing system ever! You will never go back to standard file tabs after working with these 3D Viewable Tabs.These 3D Labels are an excellent idea, but more difficult to apply than what appears in the advertisements. I used these on hanging folders also produced by Smead, but some would not fit in the slots which had to be cut with scissors to get them to work. The online printing app at viewable.com worked fine, except it was almost impossible to align the printer correctly. I was only able to apply the clear plastic covers by finding a 2rd party tutorial on you tube. To separate the plastic from the backing you have to start from the middle, not the end. The glue on the backings for the labels is very sticky and easily messes up any attempt to properly place the labels on the plastic backings. With my fat male fingers, I was unable to make the labels sticky on the plastic holders as they appear in the ads and tutorials. Finally, I recruited my wife for this task with better results. This product is a brilliant idea, but the devil is in the details. The engineers at Smead should (1) study a more practical glue on the label backings; (2) design the plastic holder to fit precisely in all Smead folders. (3) Design an easier way to adjust the print size of the labels; (4) Design a jig to precisely paste the labels on the plastic holders. If it worked as well as in the ads, this would easily be a five star product.I wish I knew about these years ago. They really make your file drawers look very organized. These tabs are much easier to see than the traditional face-forward-only tabs. I downloaded free software from the Smead website. There is a newer version apparently that you have to buy with a starter kit, but since this is a refill kit it doesn't have any software. The software was easy to download, install and use.These take a bit longer to prepare than the normal hanging folder tabs. Once you print the label, you have to carefully line it up and stick it on the included blank white 3D tabs. Then you line up and apply a clear protective layer over the printed sticker. This gives it a much more durable and professional appearance.Can't wait to re-label everything at home and the office.Very helpful in organizing files. Easy to see file labels. Makes filing much easier.
